Description of the tool:

The Office and the Disabled Students’ Association promote their activities by websites, Facebook, CUE magazine Kurier UEK and interuniversity magazine KSSN. Besides this, they try to do their best to promote and create new possibilities. The Newsletter is aimed to promote more CUE activities. The  Newsletter is sent by electronic mail to the academic community e.g. internal departments, workers, and all students. Moreover, the Newsletter is sent to other universities in Krakow and Poland, to special schools and organizations which work with people with disabilities.

User manual:

The Newsletter is in an electronic form. It is sent three times a year.

The Newsletter has several sections:

  1. What’s on
  2. For students

In this section there is information about events, activities for students with disabilities e.g. workshops organized by the Office for Students with Disabilities, Inter-University Psychological Assistance Centre or Academic Sports Association’s swimming and handbike club of persons with disabilities.

  1. For employees

Activities are also provided for employees, especially for academic teachers.

  1. From the students’ perspective

This section is created by members of the Disabled Students Association.

  1. Good to know

This section is educational. The readers can find there plenty of useful general information about a disability. In each edition the section Good to Know, raises a different issue, e.g general information, visual or hearing impairment. There are also rules how to help students and how design lessons in a universal way available to students with disabilities.

  1. Events

There are presentations and calls for new projects, workshops and other events.

Employees of the CUE OSD  are authors of most of the articles and they are responsible for the publication of the Newsletter. This is the reason that the Newsletter  offers first-hand information.
