Description of the tool:

Students, mainly disabled or ESN ones, when looking for the HEI where they want to follow their academic life, they aim to get the most complete and clear information  about support services offered, courses pre-requirements, equipment available at the institution and other structures.

The University of Coimbra organises annualy a week Summer University open to students finishing their secondary school to get acquaintance with life at the University, having the opportunity to participate in several events, seminars, visits to labs, classrooms and services.

The Support Office during the last 3 years has opened its working space to these students, thus giving the opportunity to inform them about the support services available, to answer questions to students in general who are interested in the subject of disability or Special Needs as well as to SWI about the conditions they will have once entering at UC, namely in terms of internal regulation about rights of students with statutes of disability or ESN. The Office promotes some workshops, interacting with students, allowing the use of equipment (braille type machine, reliefs)
