In Bologna, every single case is never considered and took in charge by an only professional of the Service: on the contrary, alway two professionals take in charge it. First of all, this happens in order to ensure a constant and regular presence according to the student's needs (i.e. if one of the professionals is not available, the other for sure is). And more generally, in order to not work apart and rather be always in the condition to share tasks, responsibilities, problems and also loads (like emotional ones) with a colleague, therefore preventing burnout. |

The organization of the Service should be functional to such a method. This means that for every potential area of needs and intervention (i.e. visual impairments, deafness, learning disabilities, etc.) more than one professional should be prepared and capable to respond. What finally means, that the Service shouldn't' be inspired by a strictly and narrowly logic of specialism. |
